Incorporated in August 2012, Ribbon Chicks is a not-for-profit organization that serves as a real voice for breast cancer survivors within northeast Indiana, providing real support right now for all stages of survivors. Our mission is to assist breast cancer survivors within Northeast Indiana through programs, education and the opportunity for limited financial support while continuing to advocate for young breast cancer patients. We know we cannot solve every problem associated with a breast cancer diagnosis, but the goal of Ribbon Chicks is to help relieve some of the stress and anxiety faced by breast cancer survivors and their families.
Survivorship in itself is a victory, but the truth is that it’s not always easy. It cannot be wrapped up in a pretty pink ribbon and it is not always a celebration. Survivors face many changes both physically and emotionally. There are many good days and some bad days. Sometimes survivors simply need a chance to be honest and have tough conversations about breast cancer. Ribbon Chicks connects survivors with others who have experienced the journey. Ribbon Chicks is here to ENCOURAGE and INSPIRE breast cancer survivors to live their best lives as they find and embrace their “new normal”.
